KT 32.091 Light pink

The rosy color of sand on the beach before sunset.

Referenz - Le Corbusier, Salubra wallpaper, 1931

Farbfunktion - materialization

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

In view of the considerable number of architects who have little use for pink, it is surprising how common pink was on the color palette of the Modern Movement. On closer inspection, it turns out that the disagreeable, gaudy pinks available today have nothing in common with the earthy Light pink featured here. They share the name but differ in pigment, as Light pink is made with natural ones. Colors made with red earth pigments are dry and delicate, and they seem unobtrusive. Light pink harmonizes well with dark colors such as gray, brown, and grayish-blue shades.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
