Subsoil

Suitable substrates: wood, wood-based materials, primed metals, sound existing coatings on hard surfaces.

The surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil, soap, wax, release agents, peeling paint, mold or distemper.

Shiny surfaces should be dulled before painting.

New plaster, concrete and masonry surfaces must be allowed to set for at least 30 days before painting, be fully cured and have a pH < 10.

Remove any flaking paint and sand these areas to smooth the edges with the adjacent paint. Fill and prime these areas with a commercially available, solvent-based spray filler.
