The Cobalt Blue pigment produces gray-blue tones that create a different visual effect than Ultramarine Blue. While the similarly light 32KT022 Medium Ultramarine Blue dissolves the form and recedes into the background, Skylight Blue has a stabilizing effect on the wall surface. The ultramarine pigment in Medium Ultramarine Blue creates spatial depth, while Skylight Blue appears light yet tangible. This subtle aesthetic difference is due to the different properties of the pigments: Ultramarine imparts an elusive, almost celestial lightness, while Cobalt Blue is anchored by its metallic presence. Skylight Blue is a beautiful paint color for load-bearing walls or other structural elements - the painted surfaces will undergo a fascinating transition from gray to blue throughout the day.
