What Sets ktCOLOR's Blues Apart from All the Others

The ktCOLOR blue shades of color are made from natural and rare mineral pigments in our artisan paint workshop in Switzerland. They have a distinctive color depth, reminiscent of the beautiful blue hues found in the sky, in lakes and the ocean. Choose ktCOLOR blue paint colors for sustainability and for aesthetically pleasing surfaces in your projects. You will be delighted to see how they reflect the beauty of nature in your spaces.

The sumptuous blue of the doorway in Corbu’s Maison Blanche.

This is a rare example of a blue with simultaneous red and green components. Surfaces painted with such blues appear to be solid and spatially present, rather than light and receding. This makes them useful for objects that need to look substantial; doors and bannisters, for instance: French chariot blue makes them look welcoming and trustworthy. Le Corbusier was well aware of such effects, as a similar color was found on the main entrance door and the bannisters of Maison Blanche, the house he built for his parents.
