KT 32.043 Rüegg’s green

The perennial pale green of the flowering silver thistle.

Referenz - Arthur Rüegg, parish house Affoltern, 2003

Farbfunktion - materialization

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

This sophisticated color was formulated to be used in a parish house in Affoltern am Albis. The architects intended to paint the lateral wall of an open staircase with KT 32.090 Deep red and an adjacent wall with KT 32.042 Light Veronese green. Deep red proved to be too cool under the CFL-lighting and so it was darkened, giving rise to KT 32.095 Swiss red. This warmer red needed a matching green, and raw Sienna was added to Veronese green to create this one. Rüegg’s green is balanced, and it enhances the formal elegance of the architecture.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
