In Greek antiquity, everything was born out of Chaos. Chaos gave birth to Night, Night gave birth to Day, and this was the first logical order. A dark color of the night such as this one, and a lighter one – KT 10.075 Zurich white for example – can be used to design elegant color concepts that correspond to this order. Surfaces that are meant to be invisible are painted with Raw umber black 90, and those that are meant to be seen are painted with Zurich white, allowing them to look brilliant coming out of the darkness. This structures architecture and embeds it in a familiar logic.
