KT 20.20 Luminous gray
A color for luminous backgrounds in bright, welcoming spaces.
Referenz - Roland Meier und Beni Schmocker, 2020
Farbfunktion - differentiation
Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions
As the sun gains strength throughout the day and persistent fog starts lifting, the fog will appear to be filled with light and luminosity. The term "luminous" is a derivative of the Latin term luminosus, which means "shining, full of light, conspicuous". One might naively assume that something gray cannot be luminous. However, light grays made with natural pigments such as this one and its warmer relative KT 16.003 Moon gray reflect so much light that they can be used as an elegant white to create calm, inviting spaces.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
