In describing this twilight color with its extraordinary spatial presence, it is hard to refrain from going into rhapsodies. The color is often grouped with other sandy colors in terms of its effect on space, but it could equally well be described as belonging to the delightful “velvet” or handsome “discretion” series of colors. Light native umber is a highly effective background color. It upgrades walls, balances all other colors, and emanates well-being. Its beauty is experienced in its sensitive dialogue with its surroundings.
