A cool, dark gray that balances color designs based on yellow and ochre.
Referenz - Le Corbusier, Salubra wallpaper, 1959
Farbfunktion - differentiation
Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions
The colors Le Corbusier specified for his 1950s concrete structures were bold and rich. The warm grays of the 1920s, which were reminiscent of pebbles and stones, yielded to cool grays more evocative of granite and steel. This color’s reference was the darkest gray of the 1959 Salubra wallpaper collection. Similar shades were found on furniture tubing, metal joinery, and walls in buildings. Deep gray looks striking in combination with the warmer, lighter and brighter shades of the 1950s wallpaper collection.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
