Farbfunktion - differentiation

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

In Ostwald’s classic gray scale with eight gradations, Granite gray is the third hue after black. As an intermediate shade of gray, it is an excellent choice for wall surfaces behind light-colored furniture. This velvety gray is particularly effective with porcelain, marble, ochre, light-colored wood, light leather, or rustic floorboards. By deliberately placing light, warm, or soft objects before dark, cool, or more solid backgrounds, the designer shifts the lighter, warmer, or softer object into a more beautiful light.
