KT 13.023 Dark turquoise blue

Midway between greenish black and midnight blue, like water in the deepest ocean.

Referenz - IG Farben, indanthrene dye sample, 1925

Farbfunktion - materialization

Wirksamkeit - good under all lighting conditions

This splendid color is the darkest in a series of useful grayish blue shades that also includes Mountain blue, Misty blue, Midmorning blue, Sky gray and Sofie’s white. The first precursor of this color was indigo, a vegetable dye from India. Beginning in 1901, light-fast indanthrene dyes made by BASF took over the market, and dyers and painters were delighted to find this warm, dark mixture of indanthrene blue and indanthrene brilliant green among them. If the color KT 10.003 Payne’s gray is too blue, Dark turquoise blue may very well be the perfect selection.

"Their colors are just unbelievably beautiful, whether the sun is shining, or it's rainy weather, or night, with every play of light they look different again. Incredible."
